Senior sessions are an all-out, all-encompassing photo experience and I have poured my heart into designing options that allow my seniors to be captured fully and authentically. During the planning process, we’ll chat through every last detail: locations, outfits, personal hobbies & interests, preferred aesthetic + style, seasons / weather, vision boards, and so much more. I take all things into consideration and genuinely love getting to know my soon-to-be graduates along the way!

the Yearbook
I have designated calendar dates for Seniors ranging from June to October each year. This allows me to be strategic and fully accommodating to each senior client, and also ensures all senior galleries are delivered by yearbook deadlines. If you would like your senior session to take place outside of these months, please contact me.

How do you choose locations?
I choose locations based on the types of images you are wanting and the style and colors within your selected outfits! My seniors typically request a blend of industrial backgrounds and natural settings and I have a list of options in the Hutchinson and Wichita area to choose from.
Do you offer any posing tips or tricks?
This is, perhaps, one of my favorite things about photography! I am constantly directing my seniors to make sure all poses are natural and true-to-personality. I’m also watching to make sure poses are flattering and fresh at the same time! I will prompt you throughout your entire session and make sure you feel comfortable and confident!
What do I wear?
Each senior will complete a questionnaire that indicates their overall vibe + style. During our planning call, we will talk extensively about your clothing selections: colors, material, texture, variety, etc. I absolutely love styling my seniors and am very involved in this piece of the process! Outfits are expressive and are such a fun part of senior portraiture! I also encourage my seniors to do a complete try-on session a couple of days before photos to make sure you are comfortable in your clothes and have all necessary undergarments.
Where will I change?
Depending on location, public restrooms are sometimes available. And, every once in a while, my seniors change outfits in their vehicles between locations to save time!
What happens if I break out?
No worries. I am diligent in making sure all breakouts and temporary skin imperfections are completely edited.
How do I receive my pictures?
All senior galleries are delivered digitally with a print release. I will post a preview from your session within 48 hours; and your completed gallery plus any inclusions from your package selection will deliver within 2 weeks.
What about inclement weather?
It’s Kansas, weather is hard! I strategically leave room in my calendar for flexibility when it comes to weather. The week before your session, I will begin monitoring the weather multiple times a day to watch the trends of an ever-changing forecast. If we’re a couple of days away from your session and the weather is not looking favorable, we will select a different date. This will give you plenty of time to re-arrange your schedule and any accompanying appointments for your session (nails, makeup, etc!)

KT Photography is absolutely amazing! I had Katie do a senior photo shoot for both of my daughters. I watched Katie in a few short minutes make my daughter feel so comfortable and take the most heartfelt, gorgeous photos right in front of my eyes. I couldn’t believe it! She was able to capture my “true” daughter!
